I see the updates haven’t affect Connie Jones and his terrible pass release. True underdog there!

I checked things out from time to time. He is doing well almost every game. Last season facing the Same team he lost and threw for his worst game and This season he lights them up!

Digging a bit deep and being purely hypothetical here but his carry and acceleration is great. Both seem to be key ratings in this code.

My question is how ? and I think causes he’s getting back quicker going through his reads and making good throws. He’s got a ton of weapons who have a lot of carry themselves. Which helped him a lot last season.

This season having weapons is great too but his accuracy is not the highest but my lower accuracy QBs are doing a bit better in this code as well. I am not liking super slow QBs but passing short has lowered my sacks counts a lot.

There Are a few long passes that dump it off quicker but it’s like if the qb can’t take a 7 step drop consistently here. Definitely not a nine as the pressure is already coming at them by 2 seconds.

Basically you need the weapons and some sort of a blend of 5 -7 step drop passes. A lot our short and medium passes falls in this range. There some 7 step ones that you need to get back quickly..... this is where a blend of QBs mobility comes in to play. Hence the carry and acceleration thing.

Having the talent is key for most schemes but when it’s tight these two odd ratings have seen a benefit in a lot of scenarios. I love to see what a bunch guys of good man coverage guys/ schemes would do vs Jones?

And maybe it is almost better to have weapons and drive passes toward your talent on the outsides by play choice and lower FOV. The game last season vs the skye blues ran some more zone ... it was a early in the season and jones seemed to get better as the season progressed. Probably a familiarity thing.

Definitely an underdog....... but you team is s not one for sure.

I want to say GG Inmates, but I'm not sure what game we are playing. The game has once changed beyond recognition and again unless you have the time to sit and analyse what's working and what isn't, you will be a perennial loser. Too many changes too soon.

Nice to see after one game that some teams have clinched a play off spot

Just spotted why you've posted this, it looks like a glitch following the switch to the 7-team playoff format.

If you remember last season the 'playoff picture' tab was set for 6 teams and it was a little surprising when 7 qualified after regular season. The two teams marked as x- (qualified) are both in the #7 seed. I doubt either will finish in the #7 berth but it would create quite the conspiracy theory if they did ;o)

This got cross-posted from the MFN-1 forums so I could see it - obviously this was a bug, since you all are using the Beta engine please report any bugs like this over there in the bug forum. I have fixed the clinching algorithm (it was purely cosmetic but hopefully we caught it in time so the owners don't rest their starters for the rest of the season)

You all are invited - and encouraged - to participate in the discussion in the MFN-1 Beta threads. Since this is a beta league you are going to get frequent engine updates including possible breaking changes, although I do my very best to prevent bad code from making it to Beta I only am able to view it from a macro level and you guys are my micro level eyes, so please participate in the MFN-1 Beta discussion if you can!

Power Rankings, League Leaders, positional stat analysis (for QB, Punters, DB's) - If I get time later today I will update the OL stat analysis and cobble something together for DL.

Thanks, It helps keep my 3 Leagues full of owners.

Talking of which, I have one vacancy in the League of Legends right now - The Nile Crocodiles, if anyone is interested.

Two previous owners, one winning season out of 6 (division Champions), no cap issues.

Great game Blitz, Blitz by name, blitz by nature. That could well be a key win down the line.

GG eXplosion.
Great running off and few big plays were too much to overcome... My DL was awfully bad...

I'm in MN1 too, and I'm wondering why so much sacks are coming now. Maybe it's just me and my gameplan/OL/QB...
I also still wonder why the speed is so important in the game. Many players are playing fine just because they are fast... WR, RB, DT, LB, CB, all of them now must clearly be fast to perform better than highly higher graded player... It's the same in all the 3 leagues I'm in.

QB moving in the pocket is a really good one.
