Punt Block - No WR, CB, FS or SS in the ST Rushers depth chart or over-rides. They will be allowed on the inner wings of the front 6, which are fill by the players listed at #5 and #6 on the Gunners list. This rule be reviewed following each season and removed if/when the code is fixed.

I am not quite sure i understand how this works.

For the ST Rushers i am only allowed to use LBs and Defensive Line Players?

That is correct

The Gunner part confuses me, i thought i could all players here. So how i understand it, i need to put D-Line + LBs at the first 4 spots and then i am good to go with the other spots at 5 and over?

With the Gunners, DBs are going to be allowed but no WR

1 - No player under 237lbs can be used in the front 4, typically all those players are CB, SS, FS , WR and RBs (some).
2 - Gunners are on the wings on KOs, Punt returns, Punts and KR. As far as I'm aware you can use any player there. On the Punt return the two outside players can be any you like. Someone correct me if I'm wrong please.

In my game against The 8 Dragons, I had 2 players appear on the ST rush squad that was not in my depth chart. One was a LDE I am trying to beef up from SS and the other was a WR who did block a punt. I had 7 others listed, but have since increased my number on the chart to 9. No clue how the AI put them there though. Any other ideas on how to keep the ai from placing random players on the front 6.

I'm not overly concerned re: pre-season but would suggest a minimum of 8, ideally 10 players. The sim pulls 4 players from ST Rush on the Punt return squad, if it then sits the 'starters' in the second half (dependant on your rules) it has only 3 further listed players to draw on and will then allocate at random (possibly based on AI ST rush weightings)

I had a WR get a block as well. He wasn't on my ST Rusher list, and I haven't even set up any overrides yet.
For reference, I have 11 players on my ST Rusher list.
I'm pretty sure it's just due to benching starters at halftime though.

If he has come from the inner wings thats fine, they are drawn from the Gunners list (#5 and #6). If he was on the front four, that's a no-no for the regular season. I've always said there should be an occasional punt block, just not half a dozen or more every week.

EDIT: Oh, just re-read my own rules - no WR in the Gunners list either but you can load it up with Speedy secondary and Linebackers.

86 snap 76 timing vs. 198 pound guy at 80 speed 90 acceleration. The RT didn't try and the lineman playing up back tried to blocked the other guy instead.

Wait no WRs in the gunners list. Steve Tasker was a WR who was a gunner. At 198 pounds what benefit do they have over a lighter DB?

My WR was lined up on the line.
