Thx, Anfield Road. The 2 Interceptions in Q4 and the missed FG were the neck-breakers. Will be tougher next season or maybe in the POs.

Our season is officially in the books. Great. We don't even have to tank.

I had a look at free agent QB's and I think there are 4 or 5 who could do a job. Veterans like Michael Maestas who we had at camp. He's no world beater but on a short contract at a low cost, there's really nothing to lose. I spotted another couple of vets plus a rookie and another youngster who could develop into low grade starter/backup.

Maestas is also a decent kick holder.

Crocker should be good to go in a week or two and the battle for Wild cards will still be alive.

I got burnt with the only carry one QB on the roster idea in my first ever MFN playoff game. My QB went down to a career ending injury in the first quarter when we led 7-0 my RB stepped up, which killed my running game too. He thought he was Brett Favre, threw 30+ passes with no completions. He threw 3 second half interceptions and we lost the game 9-7!

Always have 2 QB's on the roster now, even if one is just there to hold kicks and do the coin toss lol

I wish it was as simple as plug n play. Quite often a QB isn't up to speed on your PB and dependent on the intel can take a while to figure it out, unless they are older than Brett Favres knees lol.
Crocker is listed as 4 weeks and his health on his neck is at 55% right now, I'l sure next game Liverpool will actually decapitate him ;)

If your RB didnt catch a case of fumbilitis this would've been an easy win for you ..even with all the mistakes it took an INT at my own 2 yard line with under a minute left to put it away. Great Game and gl rest of the way

His recovery will be quicker if he's deactivated (even if just for midweeks) but with no back up QB that's not really an option for you. A vet on a one year contract, minimum wage, no bonus won't impact your cap and would at least give you some semblance of a passing game. The other option is 'ground and pound' and limit Crocker's exposure, this will also slow the game down and give your opponent less plays (clock continues to run, whereas it stops for an incompletion)

Neither are ideal solutions, there is a half decent young back up with knowledge of your playbook in the FA pool. However in the circumstances I would take a veteran (game manager) and keep the playbook simple (reduce formations - just plays from 212, 221, 122, 230 to give him maximum protection) and up the run percentage to 60-70%.

Decided for option 1 with the ground game, If I get a vet in I have to make a cut and I really don't want to do that right now. We'll see how this goes lol
