The Draft - Chat thread

By TheAdmiral

So, the time has come - are you ready? Have you got a strategy or are you just going to wing it? Best player available or stick to a drawn out path? Who's going at #1? Who are the top 10 picks?

In my opinion these 15 players will all go in the first round. In no particular order

QB Andrew Adams
QB Bruce Harper - massive gamble by someone!
DE Elias Miller
DT Lane Boyd
RB Michael Levin
RB Patrick Grantham
CB Charles Wilson
CB Ronald Barr
OL Wayne Fry
OL Carl Moore
LB James Dover - Top 3 pick!
LB Raul Torres
WR Aaron Salvador
WR Thomas Riggs
TE Rodney McMahon

Not many QBs or DL in this scouting pool. We will probably wait for the later rounnds to search for those positions. If we had the 1.1 we go FS Sherrill.

Not sharing my list, but best available at the start, then for need later, making sure I don't overload one position as it gets later.

One warning though, for those new to dispersal drafts.

There are old players in the mix. Some with as many as 17 years exp, and ready to retire yesterday.

Check their age before adding them to your board.

At this point i am still unsure on who i will select at #1.

Like many others Paul Sherrill ist the highest rated Player on my Board, while also having a super low Volatility. If not for some Booms of other highly rated players, he is probably the best player in the draft. Not even sure what his best position would be, but he is gonna be a stud pretty much everywhere on the field.

Lwarence McArdle has the same OVR rating for me, but 94 Vol makes him way too much of a gamble for me at this spot. If he doesn't bust he is insane. Straight up a perfect CB.

Then there is a bunch of good Olinemen, with the best two even beeing rookies and Dudley also only beeing 23 years old.

In the end i guess Andrew Adams will get the call. I am fairly new to this game and he is just the best prospect at the most important position. He is alreaedy 25 which is not perfect, but so are most of the other top QB prospects. Sure i could target a superstar at a different position and go for one of the Rookies later on, but with my lack of expierence this doesn't seem like the best move.

did the draft order change? i could have swore i had a higher pick than that

Not as far as I know, picking at 32 is a pretty good spot as you always get 2 picks back to back. Good luck

I haven't looked at it and am on vacation.

Can't wait to see what the AI fishes for me.

I will not yet be awake when #17 comes around. So, we'll see who I end up with. (I've numbered my top 17, so it will be interesting to see where they end up).
