Re: Potential off-season changes.

I've held off on rule changes for this season in Victory, with the exception of changing the injury rate in Pre-season (and restoring to standard for the season).

Next season, I will be intrdocing max numbers at RB/WR/CB/FS/SS. I'm trialling numbers in Legends this season and will be tightening up the allowance next season.

Personally, I like the creativity that playing a player out of position allows - I would just rather that people converted those players to what they see as a more suitable position.

I currently play in both of the Leagues with weight restrictions and it's not a road I want to go down as it is proving difficult and time consuming to keep on top of all 32 teams. By limiting numbers at specific positions it will push owners into more standard looking rosters, but allow them the freedom to play smaller lighter players if they want eg converting a SS to DE - The Safety is not ever going to reach the 'natural' weight for a DE but should be abl to play there without dominating .

I've started using other positions to train players up on their weaknesses, which is harder to do with rules like these.
For example, setting a TE as an OL, to raise his blocking.
On the other side, I've seen it abused, so I understand the reason for the rules.

Hi

Thx for the answers. I'm playing this game because I love football and trying to play like NFL football is fun to me.
I know it's hard to make a game like this realistic but playing against no real RB teams, playing every running snaps with WR is making me crazy. sometimes ok. Playing WR RB some snaps ok. Playing RB WR ok. Some snaps. And so on.

And I come back to the use of speed. SPEED is way too much needed on every position. A 60 overall RB with great speed is ok, much more thant a 80+ with average speed. As well for WR, and all positions. A DL with speed make many sacks, even if is pass rush score is low...

It become frustration to have to look to a player first, and way too much - for his speed, and not for his OVR.

That's just my opinion, but seing 60 ovr DL crashing my 90ovr OL just because they are fast is an exemple of something that's making me crazy !

Many share your frustration, the game continues to develop/evolve. It's a slow, laborious task done by one person - not a team of 100's like Madden et al. I think, to a certain extent one of the neatest parts of the game is finding hidden gems that are better suited to another position. Overall rating is a nonsense, even if you change player weightings to the way you'd like them. Better to have a player that has the necessary attributes to fit your scheme

I don't intend to be too Draconian in rules and any restrictions on numbers will be for competitive games only (ie NOT Pre-season) This and Training Camp is the area where most development occurs, therefore you will still be able to do the above.

If i play a WR as an RB, it is either the 3rd or 4th back on depth chart, unless other rb's are injured, only saying.

As yet, I haven't incorporated more rules for Victory. I'm using Legends to 'trial' it and see how it contrasts and compares with making no changes.
