Kicker Injures Hand, Can't Kick

My team in MFN 74 https://mfn74.myfootballnow.com/team/2 had an in game kicker injury and it resulted in a WR kicking FGs. Now that WR was 2 for 2 but I find it curious the AI took the regular kicker out for a hand injury.

Also begs the question of what to do next game, as he is currently listed as Out for 3 weeks. I'll probably need a kicker for at least 1 week anyway as I don't want to risk having him active and having AI put my WR back in as kicker because of a 0% hand.

That’s a new one, crazy ridiculous.

I think this is the first time I've seen a kicker injured

Injured making a tackle on a kickoff. Looks like he needs a remedial course in proper tackling technique. Maybe McAfee could give him some pointers...? :)

Along that thread, I wonder why punters can’t have good kick off skills…that way the punter could/should handle any defensive duties, the kicker would still be ok for field goals…

I understand why the punter can’t kick fg and kicker can’t punt to force having both on a roster…but either one should be able to handle kickoffs

I kinda agree with this: both kickers should have remedial attributes at the opposite position....not great but better then a WR or other non-kicker.

There have been a few QBs over the years that were decent punters with Danny White the best!!!

I think Flutie kicked and punted if I'm remembering right...Greg probably knows

For years the patriots kept Tupa around as the punter, but also the backup qb (usually the 3rd option, but there were seasons where he was #2 and there was no other backup). The wr welker kicked for the dolphins b4 his patriot days in emergency situations and I know multiple other qbs and position players have been involved, especially before the modern kicking specialists took over, but that is ancient history. But then again, the way everybody treated the 4.6 update, we are playing the old school game now more than this century’s version of the game.

That was a year ago before we cracked the 4.6 code and starting throwing the ball for 5,000+ yards a season. There is always a way but it takes time to hone in on it.

Idk about a regular punter but I believe Flutie is the last player to perform a successful dropkick in a game

By playing 190lb TE’s and LBs and using the same 12 passing/def plays that always worked, but that is a grievance for a different thread. I do it too, just to survive.
