I'm starting to see the gaping holes in the code that these computer savvy guys are talking about. When I watch a football game (in real life), I do not expect to see 100 total points scored. If I did expect that, I would be watching basketball. I do not expect to see +5 turnovers in a game. If I did, I would be watching pee-wee league football games (I seriously doubt it happens even in those games).

I understand that I have not been here from the outset & I have no idea how things were. If this game has progressed by leaps & bounds, then that is awesome! I know it is a far cry from Version 1.0 status. My point is; If this is a simulation, then the scores, players & game play should eventually reflect that.

I sincerely hope it gets to that point. I'm just starting to realize the frustration that some of the other members talk about.

Rant over,
CrazyRazor

The 100 point games have been around since I've been here. Sadly, it's just part of the swinging pendulum jdb always refers to when updating. DL was improved too much .. so now high speed OTs are needed. We all have our ways (or ideas .. since I know zero about coding .. lol) about what needs to happen.

Just take it with a grain of salt (and hopefully those 100 points comes your way ... Lol).

We all want to scream and rant sometimes about the realism (Should every DB be at the top in tackles? Would QBs really just look past the wide open TE?, etc.). But I can certainly tell you it has improved since I've been here.

It is also an unfortunate side effect of having some users who take the game seriously and others who join a team and then disappear. In my observations, the leagues with the most active users have fewer 100-point games vs. the ones that have a more transient user base.

I dont think the OP is refering to where a team scores 100 points on a team he is refering to 100 points combined by both teams.

you guys are taking it like he was complaining about a game like 100-0.

When in reality he is complaining about a game like 70-30.

thats why i say this game ( https://mfn74.myfootballnow.com/box/view/664 ) is what he is complaining about score was 72-36 and had something like 8 turnovers.

Btw it was the conference title game in MFN 74 between Buffalo and Denver

Buffalo = https://mfn74.myfootballnow.com/team/view/5
Denver = https://mfn74.myfootballnow.com/team/view/1

well he posted his rant on 12-16-2016 and i would think MFN 74 conference title game was spun before 7:50 am the time his post was posted and he saw that game and posted his rant.

Because that game you posted was probably played at least 4 or 5 days ago i dont think it is your game.

I'm referring to MFN 74. This game was between two very active & involved members. I tuned in expecting to see a dog fight, a trench battle. Unfortunately, I watched a pinball game. I figured two guys that knew the system would counter eachother, much like the Seattle/Carolina game the day before (21-13) or the other Championship Game {Seattle/New York (19-10)}.

I expect blowouts or massive points scored against uninvolved users. That doesn't bother me so much.

In truth, there are days/nights, that I dread watching my own games because of this phenomenon. I might as well flip a coin, because it doesn't seem to matter how much time I put in to planning or how good my team is (guy with 100 avoid fumble drops the ball).

That's it in a nutshell.

Surprisingly, I've had pretty much the same success lately even though I stopped gameplanning a few weeks ago.

I'm still hopeful that eventually JDB will get it figured out one day.

I take solace in the fact that eventually my teams will resemble that of the experienced members. Perhaps then, things won't be as frustrating. Heh
