As I feared when I agreed to join this league, I wouldn't really enjoy it.

Allocation drafts are super interesting, if you can be around for them, which I haven't been able to. This is already feeling like a chore to me and yesterday I even chose cleaning the kitchen over preparing my picks.

Whether I stay as owner or leave, it's the ai drafting, so I don't see the difference.

I'm positively asleep for half of my picks, which effectively killed any joy I had in this.

You're not obliged to stay, but it could be interesting to see how you get on with the team once the draft is done. Just check in once a day during the draft and adjust your priorities.

Dispersal drafts are tiresome after the first few rounds, but once it's over - the game is afoot. You can have a team whose owner plots meticoulously [sp] and gets screwed in TC and you could get a team that was drafted with little effort that booms at camp and dominates.

If those were things that were important to me, it wouldn't be an issue.

Thing is I hate doing things half assed. I love the draft from round 1 to 46. I don't care about success, as evident by my 15 years of playing Hattrick without having ever really won anything.

It's the entirely overwhelming feeling of no interest, since (at the bare minimum) half of my picks will be either completely in the dark or AI. I've already contemplating continuing with my other team for a while, but have kept going because I enjoyed watching the games. It's been quite a while since I put in the effort I want to and a 2nd league wouldn't improve that. At all.

I'm not interested in winning, I'm interested in competitions. This isn't competition to me.

I feel your pain. I put a lot of work into scouting and setting up lists for different scenarios, but you simply can't cover every single one and when you're asleep at 1am its left to the gods of AI.
Is it fair, hmmm yes and no. A majority of owners are on US time and will probably see all their picks, so that is an unfair advantage, those that put the time in anyway. But in all fairness its the majority that keep leagues alive too, so its a bit of a double edged sword.

Thus far, my two nights of auto picks haven't been too bad, not who I would have taken, but OK. Worse than that is there seem to be a huge chunk of owners that have the same player weights and some 15 + players I have listed in every round go before mine, lol. Going to be a tough season. I just pray all the players that got 'stolen' from me all bust.....hah!!! ;)

You do know you can put a manual list in to ensure you get someone you want. Just make sure there are enough options so that AI never gets to pick.

My manual list generally has 40-50 players.

Yeah I do that, but have options eg; I need an LT and may put 3 preferred players in, but then maybe the 1st option is gone and option 2 player isn't as good as an RDE that I like. But even going after 20 + players in order of value doesn't always work. The biggest problem as I've said before is that a lot of owners have the same weights, so its always going to happen

Admiral or anyone can draft for the team so its not an utter mess?
