Waiver System broken in preseason

Preseson Midweek 2 in MFN-47
7 Waiver Wire Claims were put in for a 5 year Exp, 92/92 rated (Default) LDE

He ended up beeing signed by last seasons League Champ, who should have been last in the waiver order.
Rich get richer, pretty good bummer for rebuilding teams

I doubt it's broken; it's just not ideal.
The league Champ WAS last in the waiver order when the waiver claiming process started, but since you can't know which order the waiver claims were process, it is highly likely that all of the other teams had a valid claim on other players moving them each to the back of the claim order. While I couldn't confirm every team, I was able to confirm at least 4 of you denied that player successfully completed a different claim.

broken was maybe a bit too strong word.

I think we all agree that the waiver system should help the lesser teams in the league to catch up. So when the best team in the league gets the only elite player, the system has not done its job.

If the order displayed in the league transactions is the order in which the waiver wire happens it makes no sense imo. As long as we cant set any priorities to our waiver claims (i E just do procede this claim if player xyz is no longer available) the waiver wire should imobe carried out ordered by trade score of the player.

that would ensure that the worst team has the best shot at the player with the highest trade score

Yahoo Fantasy Football has 'priority' with waiver claims, right? Been a couple seasons since I've been deep into fantasy football.

Perhaps a layer can be added here where when a GM puts in Waiver Claims a drop down window can be utilized:

Waiver Wire Claim: #1 Player
#2 Player
#3 Player
#4 Player
#5 Player

The system does it's same magic but the GM with the highest odds of landing the best Waiver Wire player can now win the player.

Process the player with the most bids first. If there is a tie for bids, then (I can't believe I'm saying this) go to trade score. BTW - fix trade scores!

actually, there were 3 excellent young players availble on waiver that week (which I failed to notice, but that's my fault).

There was[url=https://mfn47.myfootballnow.com/player/8164] Fitting [/url]an 88 WLB which went to 13-3 Detroit (second best record in the league, tied to Washington)

and an 86 Center, [url=https://mfn47.myfootballnow.com/player/7920]Holleran[/url] claimed by 4-12 Cincinnati

actually just noticed something about this

they are all CPU controlled teams so they must have been cut because all 3 were in cap trouble so probably is more that the CPU is broken than Wavier system
