Apparently I have pending FAs ..

I don't.

After each sim I get the "Pending FAs" warning box. I don't have any pending. I didn't close out of the window so it can be seen.

Parsh is the only one who would see it because he owns the team. But as I look at his roster, I'm not seeing anyone who is in the last year of their contract. Therefore, he shouldn't have any pending free agents.

Hey parsh!

That message comes up every season (at game 13) as a reminder that you have to sign your free agents, even if you don't have any to sign. I handle this by...

1.) looking at renegotiation wizard to see if there are any players with 1 year left.
2.) Then I go to the team page and click on contracts. This will show you any players that were signed during the current season to a 1 year contract. These players can't be signed again until the next season.
3.) If there are no players to sign, then I click the x and dismiss the message.

It sounds like you have checked this out already, so you can dismiss the message.

I also use a sticky note and write on it, NO resigns. This helps if you are in multiple leagues and can't remember if you have signed your players already.

Indeed, this pop-up is confusing. At this point for me, just popped again ( the first time i made oh so many mistakes). Anyway, I am guessing it is in relation to the current status of the season - thus everyone at 1 yr remaining that was not signed by the champ game will be a FA at the end of the season (early FA), and every one with 2+ yrs can be ignored. Am I right regarding this?

It is very confusing because it shows players with multiple years remaining - I know I shouldn't have to worry about them, but have been burned in the past, and am really trying to do it right this time. I guess I what I am really looking for is how this works in MFN? (and yes - well aware if cap rules in the NFL - but have never detailed the de factos of the details for off season - which it seems mfn follows to a "T").

you are in a different boat your team has 12 people with 1 year contract = https://mfn6.myfootballnow.com/team/24

go to Team then where PLAYER DETAILS is click on that down button to get PLAYER CONTRACTS then click on YEARS then scroll to bottom and you will see 12 people that need resigning

Indeed, that is my main point of reference. When is the best time to resign the players I wish to keep? In week 14 now, and doing some negotiating - although I understand that resigning in season does not remove that years cap penalties from the previous contract. I see after the champ game there is 1 day of end of season before the off season launches. Is this the best time to resign? Or does the player become a FA at the conclusion of the champ game?

Thanks again for the info :)

There's an end season stage. They all are renegotiated contracts before the conclusion of that stage. A players desired bonus is the main driver of him accepting. Otherwise they will get to test the market .

As for a best time....that's mostly personal . ..imo. Still, I would renegotiate some guys before the final year of their contract and let good players walk in order to counter themail renegotiation . . Perhaps I am cheap My mfn1 team has 141 mil in cap space .

The rookie salaries here are not in line with the nfl so there am game to play there, and renegotiated salaries are dictated by the leagues previous FAs contracts (citation needed) and default overalls .

Goodluck!
