Not enough active players messes up game planning

My team had so many injuries I only had 45 active players when the sim ran. Apparently this creates havoc for all of the game planning as all my plays/play calling/formations/misc all got screwed up and apparently changed to the "recommended".

When you set a depth chart you are only allowed 46 active players, so having just 1 less would not hurt much, would it?

Has happened to me as well. Very frustrating.

You would think. But some how the AI takes over to make sure you have 46 active players and then messes with all the gameplanning.

Right now if you have any invalid game planning pieces (too many/too few active players, too many/too few plays, etc) the AI does take over and reset your game plan. Keep an eye on the red warning indicators on those screens to make sure you're not going into a game with an invalid game plan or roster.

I understand that, but one error shouldn't effect other aspects that are acceptable. Having an invalid roster shouldn't change my playbook/schemes.

And such warning should be made more obvious. Like a banner across the top of every page. I get notices every day for three weeks about players becoming free agents, but I would have had to navigate to the depth chart screen to see that I didn't have enough active players. And it doesn't tell you the consequences of not having enough active players.

can a timer be imbedded into the game logic on when the ai takes over the gameplan?
Where ai only makes roster changes til say 3 or 4(pick a number) sims are up. Then it takes over the game plan portion?

Or this is where a practice squad could help too.

or better yet a over ride system especially when a user knows he is going only have 45 players .

or maybe if we have only 45 players allow us to sign emergency players during the GAME STAGE so we dont have our game plan messed up by the computer.

So does this apply to preseason as well if we don't have 60 active players it will override the whole gameplan or just the regular season?

No, as long as you have the minimum number of active players you'll be fine.
