Punisher, read a little closer.

"Hurry up offense means you will not run the ball, you will go for it on fourth down, and you will kick onside kicks. A value of 3 will start hurry up at 3 minutes if down by 1 through 7 points, and 6 minutes if down by 8 through 14, etc."

Down by 5 points with less than 3 minutes meets the criteria for hurry up value of 3, and we should have gone for it rather than punt.

You actually may still run the ball at times, I have seen it done many times

I don't have a rule for this situation: http://mfn19.myfootballnow.com/watch/1578#300022

What may have happened here is that I didn't have enough long passing plays in my playbook, so the OC decided what the ****, let's call an outside run since we haven't called one in four games.

I've recently noticed a lot more desperation at the end of the first half than I see at the end of the second half. Have these halves been flipped in the game code?
