mini camp

A one day mini camp before the start of the regular season. This could help develop our rookie and veterans players before the start of training camp. Then again at training camp.So we would have 2 camps too develop are players before the new season.

I'd disagree. The only way it could be effective would be to lower the current training camp progressions - otherwise players would increase/decrease potentially at double the rate as at now. Increasing/decreasing could well imbalance the game long term.

This could be done with just rookies or a limited number of players each season. It would help you identify what type of rookie you drafted well before training camp.If you have a bad team or are in rebuilding mode. This would also help you field a more competitive team.

Why make the off season even longer? I am not a fan.

Well, the off-season is, pretty much, the only time you can improve your teams. Make the Time!

I don't think dividing up growth into multiple sessions adds any value.

if one training camp is giving you only +1 or +2 in develop of rookie players. Then if you are trying too replace an old veteran or find a better player for your team.if it comes down too those last spots on a roster.Who are you going too choose based on 1 training camp?If you have 2 players in one camp at the same develop at +1 or +2.You get too choose too keep one or cut both. You are left guessing if they are worth keeping. If we had a mini camp.We could at least have 2 camps for a better evaluation of players.Would make it easier too see if a player is progressing or not and worth keeping.Yes,we can play them in pre season and see if they are worth keeping.A mini camp gives us another tool too evaluate talent and make better decisions on talent.Just my thoughts.

Ok, so you've a player that develops +2, that's all he can develop.

One training camp -> he develops +2. You see during season he's plateaued out.
Mni camp + training camp -> he develops +1 then another +1. You see during season he's plateaued out.

So where's the difference?

rookies have more room too grow.Yes,you could have them only gain 1 each time. That is just the luck of the spin. One camp in here does not really tell us much about any of our rookies on how they will develop or not.It is all guess work. You could just invite the rookies and not even veteran players.
