Would it be possible to add more variety in player creation? EG No DBs seem to ever be capable of pass rushing, despite their ability to be used as blitzers. D-Line don't get gen'd with any coverage skills, so light weight DEs can't be dropped back to LB in a 3-4. RBs inexplicably never have any pass blocking (nor run blocking to allow a switch to FB for bigger backs). Offensive linemen not born as centers can never snap. WRs never have break tackle, making them unfavorable returners (same with DBs, who additionally lack all other useful traits for this). No QBs can currently ever be turned into receivers (eg Julian Edelman), because they're never gen'd with catching, RR, or B&R avoidance. Etc.

OH! Also, and most strangely: No one seems to ever be gen'd with any B&R coverage. What's the point of this? All offensive skill positions seem to have tons of B&R avoidance, which seems unnecessary since I don't have a single player on any of my teams at any position capable of B&R coverage.

Thanks for the comments - I'll definitely take some time to look at that again. You're right on the B7R Coverage - I hadn't caught that but it was indeed turned off for DB's. I've turned it on for future player generation.

I'll also to look at the other attributes you mentioned and bring some of those up in the alternate positions.

Related to player gen, I'm curious to know how the engine assigns the college to the player. Is it based on the real-life amounts of NFL players from a particular college, or purely random?

Each college has a probability weight, but it's not really scientific or based on any real data. The bigger colleges will get chosen more often than the smaller colleges. It doesn't have any impact on the player, it's purely cosmetic.

I figured it was purely cosmetic. I just happened to see another Div III OAC school on the list (Baldwin-Wallace), and realize I hadn't remembered seeing my hopefully-one-of-these-days alma mater John Carroll. :)

John Carrol is indeed in the list, so it will show up sooner or later!

Sounds like you have some familiarity with OAC football!

Grew up there and my ex-brother in law coached at JC. Both are top notch small school programs and football is huge in NE Ohio anyway.

Loved seeing the Bucks win big Monday too.

I've turned it on for future player generation

Sorry to be so slow So players drafted pre 2020 (in mn2) won't have b&r coverage and players drafted from 2020 onward will have it?
