What would be considered elite? 85+, 90+, 95+ I figure it is also position specific and i know that your own weights change things.

It really depends on the attributes and position. A 50 speed safety that is 100 in everything else may be rated a 90 but he's probably not very good.

That's only if you value speed as the most important attribute

In my opinion there are no elite players other than WR/PR.

Every other position seems to be completely random as far as how the player will perform on the field.

I've had highly rated players at every position that perform no better than players rated significantly lower, especially when talking about QBs, DBs or OL.

That said, I still try to get the highest rated players I can in the expectation that eventually there will be changes made so that a player's skill set is more of a factor in the actual games.

FYI, by "highest rated players" I am referring to the skills that I value for each position, not necessarily their overall rating.

Found the same thing in the old Madden games, no matter how good a players ratings were, it seemed to have no effect on the performance in games.

99% sure Setherick is going to have a conniption with this.

I mean, not really. A Star in Madden has always been a Star. You put them in the right position (Play Calling), and they will ball out.

But the issue with Madden, for the longest time, was Speed was King. You could take a 55 at WR, but with 99 Speed... and they didn't have the proper scaling back then, so he wouldn't Drop enough passes to impact him blowing past Defenders and getting wide open. As long as you had the QB with an Arm to get it out there, a 99 Speed WR was Pure Gold regardless of Rating.

Same for RB, if you ever ran Off-Tackle (not Sweeps, to risky) you could **** every one inside and bounce out for huge gains.

Now they've worked a ton on the Engine to change some of these things. Defenders have more impact on lesser skilled Receivers, RBs need more Agility and Vision to make those cuts, players don't just make instant cuts anymore.

Too easy. Setherick has a conniption about everything.

I agree 100% with the above statement. A safety that has 50 SP and 100 in everything else is going to be burned a lot.

Let's be real for a minute. Without my inherent ability to fly off the handle at janky code, incomprehensible play, unrealistic results, and CROWD NOISE, y'all wouldn't know half as much about how to glitch the game as you do now.

90 is my threshold between elite player and solid starter. 70-85 is my threshold between solid contributor and career backup.

But then, as you always say, he shouldn't be rated a 90 in personal weights.
