League of Legends

4 owners on board - Sabretooths, Admirals, Conjurors and Elves

Feel free to take a team, I will postpone the initial draft until we have a full quota of 32 owners.

The league has been set up with 3 weeks of free agency, 2 weeks of late free agency and just 2 weeks of pre-season. Each team has a custom built, brand new stadium (all named) all with a 75,000 capacity with a degree of randomness as to whether the stadium is indoors, outdoors, with a selection of surfaces (I've tried to incorporate whether a team plays indoors based on typical climates in there specific locations).

I'm going to try to make the league as interactive as I have time for - this will be via the league forum - rivalries and good natured banter are encouraged. Press release pre and post game are also encouraged but only if you have the time and the inclination.

If you'd like to give a little backstory as to why you have taken on a specific franchise, what your hoping for from the initial draft and what style of play you envisage for your team, that should help to bring in owners to allow us to get started and hopefully keep the majority on board for the long haul.

Hi, I'm the Admiral and naturally I have taken control of the Nelson Admirals. We will host games at Victory Field and are proud to be the only English side in the league. Obvious early season rivals will be our divisional foes the Tiger Bay Sabretooths, Killarney Blarney Stones and the Edinburgh Royals.

We'll be looking to hire coaching staff with a stout defensive strategy as we believe firmly in the axiom 'If you want to win, first you must not lose'. In the initial draft we are likely to be guided by what is available when our picks come round. We will be looking to prioritise youth and what we consider to be 'key' positions. We may well consider trading down for multiple picks or even picks further down the line in season 2 and 3. We are in this for the long haul and are prepared to build a long term dynasty rather than a one season wonder.
