FFS call a time out!

Really close game throughout, and we have 2 TOs left after the 2 min warning....why were no TOs called? http://cust10.myfootballnow.com/watch/552#103290
It may or may not have made a difference, but I'd at least like the chance to have a go, very poor AI

Yeah. The AI is very poor when it comes to timeouts.

Looks like that was a good defensive battle. Would have been nice if you'd had a chance at a return or hail mary (although you probably would have thrown a short pass or ran the ball).

I only have joined recently but it seems that the AI and game sim are out there to screw you... so what are you complaining about exactly :))).

On a more serious note, I guess TO and clock management is not so easy to figure out even for NFL coach (I am looking at you A. Reid) so it is not so surprising that AI miss completely here and there.

That would make sense if it was good AND bad, instead of just bad.

Ah, that's the new offensive clock draining when you're trying to score the go-ahead - but you're right, we need a defensive counter to that.

Ok I understand offensive clock draining BUT, in a recent game I marched down the field in the final 2 mins with 2 TO's in hand (one was used 2 mins into the half for some unknown reason). Anyway, So here I am marching inside the red zone with over 40 seconds to go, 1st down, 2 TO's and they drain the clock to kick a FG to win, MISSED! On current form a TD was imminent.

I also feel that kicking from the side of the hash seems to be extremely touch and go. I have not seen many real life kickers miss from 20 out, I have seen many in this game.

Your first point : The TO may have been taken as an injury TO? But even in real NFL games you see teams taking TOs for all different reasons. It is annoying here though as no explanation is given.

Second point: The whole game is based on probability, the chance of hitting a FG to scoring a TD, regardless of how your moving the ball is stacked in favor of the FG.
How many times have you marched down to the RZ only to have your drive stall? RZ offense vs defense is different from say the 50 yd line.

The point is I could have taken 2 more plays (minimum) to try get a TD and then gone for the FG

Yeah I get that, but IF the FG was good you would have won the game right?
All I'm saying is that if a FG would win you the game, running the clock and kicking the FG would be the way most teams would go as the probability is higher that score. How many FGs has your kicker missed at that distance, not many I'm guessing.
