Whats the point of having a bleeding edge beta league when broken versions are releashed. No offense to the creator but you have turned the entire MFN game into a beta. 4.4 should have been run in beta for multiple seasons to test before it was released. 1 full season would have shown it wasnt ready.

Now 4.5 was released to "fix" the issues in 4.4 and of course it isnt ready either.

My suggestion, roll back to 4.3 game wide. Keep your MFN-1 for bleeding edge and create a beta 2 league to test new versions at least a full season before publicly releasing it. Use the rivals league, for instance to test new versions. Its full of owners that can dissect the flaws.

How much testing wss done before 4.4 was released? I know you didnt have time to test 4.5 because I had leagues go from 4.3 to 4.4 to 4.5 in consecutive seasons.

I personsl love this game but you are losing players, veteran players that are your core demographic. Without happy owners/players, this game will die.

Now because 4.5 is broken, 4.6 is probably right around the corner and here we go again. You need to roll this game back to 4.3 which was as stable a version as we have had then take your time, fix the issues in 4.4 and 4.5 in both beta leagues and make 4.6 an actual answer instead of a reaction.

You are off your rocker if you think 0.4.3 was stable. The RB dumpoffs were prevalent in that update as well. The difference was that the defense was weaker & you could gameplan around it.......Especially with the TE passes.

You are missing my point......was 4.4 an improvement with QBs completing 85% of there passes because they were all checkdowns essentially removing the WRs and CBs from the league because if you tried to force the deep ball you got sacked 8 or 9 times a game. That was discovered easily within 4 or 5 games let alone an entire season.
So my question is why was it released if we have a beta league to figure out it doesnt work. It was a rushed release for some reason as was 4.5 because of all the negative feedback from 4.4.

No 4.3 wasnt perfect but 4.4 was a mess and 4.5 was a quick reaction to the negative feedback.

My point is new versions should be beta tested before release so we dont have to constantly go through this. I love this game, I won championships in version 4.3, 4.4 and 4.5 so I can adapt with the best of them but leagues are drying up because veteran owners are getting frustrated and quitting which leaves us where?

Roster only isnt an answer for me because the A.I. gameplanning is vanilla and conservative which leads to 12-9 games the majority of the time. In an era where the NFL is pushing the game towards high flying, high scoring offenses, MFN is going in the opposite direction with low scoring, ground and pound offenses where scoring over 20 makes your offense elite.

Like I said, I love the sim and will adapt to win whatever it takes but I dont want to lose a bunch of owners because of all the quick version releases frustrating the masses. The standard MFN leagues are drying up, owners have been trimming the fat and keeping only custom leagues.

Im here for the duration but as league admin, I have to deal with owners upset with the direction of the game. Im all for new versions but only after proper beta testing so all these mistakes can be avoided

but as league admin, I have to deal with owners upset with the direction of the game.
.. If your league is getting upset with you over the game direction, you need to have a talk with your league ..

I checked NFL EXTREME in hopes that you were right and the A.I. gameplanning has gotten better under 4.5 but sorry NO!

After 9 games, you have 4 teams averaging over 20 points a game while 10 teams average 10 points or less per game. Last year in the NFL only 7 teams averaged under 20 points per game and NOBODY average 10 points or less

Only 2 teams average over 300 total yards of offense per game while last year in the NFL only 5 teams averaged under 300 yards per game with 2 of those at 299.7 and 299.2.

So, you're changing your point? You stated games were 12-9 .. And they aren't.

Now you want to bring offensive output in a league setup with no control adapting to a new version with teams having to change how they operate .. Yeah its a challenge. Apparently, thats not in your wheelhouse. Thats cool.

I'm glad you have a great time in your league. Just dont **** on other leagues/league setups .. Ok?

Obviously I hit some sort of nerve here. All I said was Roster Only wasnt for me because scoring is low. You told me to check out NFL Extreme because it isnt like that.

I did and scoring is way low, stats prove it. Im not saying, Roster only sucks, dont play it. I clearly stated its not for me.....period.

Honestly it has nothing to do with what I posted really. If I offended you in some way, it was not my intention.

The point of my post was about new versions being beta tested longer before release....thats all. Im glad you enjoy that league. I want everyone to enjoy every league. I cant play this game alone. I need other owners and just dont like losing them.

Each game version is an attempt to improve the game, based on a lot of input and complaints, and is trying get closer to a simulation of the RL Pro game. Whether it suits what you like, lets say more med/long pass completions, or not, its still an even playing field. You may have to adjust your roster and select different plays and change up your gameplan, but its still an even chance vs everyone else. Each game version has its advantages and disadvantages, the key to winning and getting your team into the playoffs is to learn what those are as quickly as possible, before the next version arrives. It may not be what you want to watch or prefer, but it is what it is, and I havnt heard of or found a better pro football management/coaching strategy game. Im not a big fan of 4.4 or 4.5, but I enjoy the challenge of adapting my roster/play selections to the current version and giving my teams the best chance to win. :)

I agree with everything you said, EVERYTHING...I take the challenge of a version switch and accept. Im proud to have have a championship under 4.3, 4.4 and 4.5.

Yes each version is an attempt to improve the game. Owners have to adapt to what works and what doesnt to win. I get all that, believe me.

My only question is this? Why have a bleeding edge beta league, if we release versions that are clearly and unmistakably flawed. Im in the Rivals league and we had 1st crack at 4.4 and halfway through that 1st season, everyone including yourself knew what a mess it was.

It was so flawed that by the time we finished that 1st season, 4.5 came out. Im all for new versions, improving the game and the challenges that brings but I would prefer the newer versions go through a longer beta process.

One full season under 4.4 in beta would have shown how broken the QB decision making was leading to around 10 players having +22 sacks for the season (NFL RECORD) and the death of the deep pass.
