Another reason there should be a limit of how many players you can sign

Denver Broncos = https://jwebber.myfootballnow.com/team/1
74 players on contract
11 contract offers
14 pending cuts
$-37,247,380 over the CAP

the 1st example or Exhibit A was this = https://mfn32.myfootballnow.com/community/1/4640?page=1#28744

thats why i think we need to have like a HARD CAP of 46 players before the DRAFT then HARD CAP of 54 players after the DRAFT

or else teams are going to keep getting screwed up where sooner or later if you have too many people are NOT going to join those leagues and have leagues dying like every day.

Just FYI... That team owner said most, if not all, of his contract offers are to his current players.

This guy went 14-2 last year and appears to know what hes doing. I wouldn't be an advocate of hamstringing his ability to remake his roster.

He took over the team pretty late in the season.

I understand your sentiment that people shouldn't be hamstringed from redoing their roster. But putting himself 37 million over the cap is a bit extreme. I'm very curious to see what happens to his team when the sim occurs. I'm concerned he's about to lose a lot of good players and possibly see his dead cap space go up. If it doesn't, it will be because the coaches dumped the players he just picked up off the waiver wire in the mid-week sim.

Personally, I think there needs to be some limits put in place to prevent teams from having their cap situations ruined. I'm concerned that there may have been a considerable number of new people on this site that leave because they didn't realize the damage they were doing to their team and then left because they got frustrated when they realized their team was going to **** for the next 2 or 3 years. And possibly still not even realize they did it to themselves.

I think jdb should seriously consider three things to give this site a more positive future.
• Fix the latest code that has gotten so many complaints because it appears to be causing long time players to quit.
• Put limits on how far over the cap players can go with their waiver claims and free agent signings. This could prevent the frustration that new players have and therefore could keep them around longer.
• Create "if/then" rules for waiver claims and free agent offerings. We can make rules for gameplay. Why not for roster moves?

Serious question for OP:

Why are you so worried about how other players run their teams when you don't run any of the 63 teams you currently own?

I'm in a few leagues with the owner you called out. He's actually a pretty decent owner. Let him and anyone else run their clubs as they see fit. It's none of your business. None.

You need to stop calling other owners out in the public forum. You're a bully. This isn't the first time.

You want to "fix" the game, JDB? Limit the number of leagues you can be active in. Make owners like the OP actually participate in the leagues. Nothing like playing an owner that doesn't care enough about his teams that 1-15 is expected. Nothing like having that owner then publicly try to convince the community that you are the bad owner.

Pot, meet kettle.

Serious question, OP. Why are you so worried about how other players run their teams when you don't run any of the 63 teams you currently own?

Because basically if they go over the Salary Cap like the person i posted then it screws up the team for awhile and God forbid they abandon it because then most likely no one will take over the team

then once that happens that is 1 less team people will take over and knowing now leagues get deleted once they dont have 16 owners means you will see more leagues getting deleted.

that is why i am concern myself with other people's teams when they go way over the salary cap.

I have to hand it to the guy who owns that Denver team. He not only got them back under the cap pretty well, but comfortably! I was worried for him, but he did a good job!

I 100% agree with private snowflake. OP is on another power trip. And go figure, the owner in question didn’t have an issue.

I also noticed OP did not mention why he has teams he does nothing with...

he actually did get under Cap which is very good job by him.

i was worried too to be honest i saw 74 players on contract then saw the 11 contract offers and also saw the pending Cuts and i really thought that salary cap would be messed up BIG TIME.

what i will say for Future reference is i will try next time to wait and see if a team is totally destroyed before i post anything.

btw i looked at that league and looks like at least 5 people are below 100,000 for salary cap so my point view is the league may not be out of the Woods/Danger yet.

though probably best to wait and see.
