By playing the logic of a computer program...not football.

The guy has 88 Speed and 87 Ball Carrying. I guess that is enough, even though he is only a 45/48 RB and 39 WR by the default ratings.

Same reason you dont let the AI pick your players in the draft.

There is a lot in this game that simulates real life football, the best of its game type that I have seen online. There are a few things that do not simulate RL also, but the game keeps improving. I dont know what jdb's plans and hopes for it are, I do know that it takes more than one person to develop a game to it's fullest (my s-i-l is a game designer), but in the meantime its good enough to have a dedicated number of players with more than a year playing it. It will always be a program with logic and algorithms, but... there is also the random factor, which you will find in both games and players, nothing is set in stone. My favorite players are the ones I find in FA with low overall ratings that play at a level much higher than their ratings.

You have to play the game you signed up for. This is not "football," this is a football "simulation." Learn what works, what doesn't and plan accordingly.

Its played that way because of the choice of the users. Wrong choice IMO...I d rather play football than play loophole finder.

Why are we all complaining about the RB in this example? The bigger flaw here is QB fatigue. The owner is having to convoy his QBs because fatigue is so bad for starters right now. If you want to complain about owners having to make choices based on the code, complain about the right thing.

Speed/ Ball Carry/Acceleration. That’s all you need to know for RBs. Look at any of 40-60 rated RBs that have had success, my teams included. It took a while to realize a 90 rated RB is no different than a 50 if the 50 has highly rated attributes that are listed above.

....I'd consider fumble, too. You can't just trot any one out there fumble wise.

But, yes, you pretty much nailed it.

That is good advice, smirt!

I was only looking at SP/ACC/BC for backup RB's for quite some time, signing those RB's with "the 3" great attributes and ignored the avoid fumble. Not anymore! Those with less than 60 avoid fumble, can and do fumble quite frequently. However, if you are looking for a RB to just run out of a couple running formations, "the 4" great attributes are all you need.

Thank you, MWD. :)

Only time I'll risk using a fumbling RB is if he has high end speed and I'm putting him into formations where he's running for the edge and towards the sideline.

If you pound up the middle with a fumble prone back, you're done. lol

....and don't even get me started on 15 or less rated fumbling QBs. I was stuck with a 7 rated one in a league and he cost me like 2/3 of my games coughing it up non-stop.
