Exploiting tendencies is the whole reason you gameplan and scout someone. Why would someone run into a loaded box? The OP passed the ball every single time for 10 games and that alone shows that this isn't a reflection of reality. I change my gameplan every game so others don't exploit my tendencies. this thread has ran it's course

When you start playing power house teams year In and year out and they knock you out of the playoffs or the Conf. Championship. Or the Super Bowl , you start to realize what it really takes to beat these teams , and the options are all the same for everybody so by saying it's cheap is someone who obviously doesent create rules. you should also say that pappy shouldn't have made a rule to call a pass defense when there's clearly a chance of them running in a 1-1-3 . Every team has the opportunity to gameplan the same. If someone offered you 3 top1st rd pics for one first rd. Your not gonna say that say you shouldn't exploit that oppurtunity to get better and ultimately try and be the best outta 32 teams. Anything that is leagal and possible is what I would call a opportunity . Try and beat a team like the ones who really dig into football and know what's what with the rules and they will beat you every time. Go count how many times you have beaten or lost to the playoff teams that were in 2 or 19 . You'll start to understand that a teams coaching and players will battle for what is the most important recipe to winning.

I realize you say this thread has ran it's course because the OP passed the ball every single time for 10 games.

But I looked at the roster of Tennessee the team in question that the OP had.
I noticed he has 6 receivers at 80+ speed then he has 1 RB that is at 80+ speed awhile the other 2 RBS are at 15 speed so in a way he made a run and shoot offense.

so maybe that's why he passed the ball every single time for 10 games because quite frank he doesn't have a running game that possibly could scare the beejeus out of people.
heck he has a FB at 75 speed and he has 3 TE's at 60+ speed so really that should explain why he passed the ball so much.
Now if he had like 3 or 4 RB's that had 80+ speed then yes he could have had a equal running and passing team instead of a one dimensonel team because I would think having that many RBS would help his running game .
also you have to believe that having those 2 slow RBS probably forced him to pass it more than he liked or wanted.

btw Tennessee if you want to look for yourself = https://mfn70.myfootballnow.com/team/view/13

You can move wr's to rb's and they do fine. I took over the Rams in 66 with the same problems. The AI drafted like 5 or 6 wr's in the first 10 picks and instead of passing it every time i traded for a RB and moved a WR to RB so i could balance out my team and be more successful. I actually don't care that he passed every time cause it was easier to beat him but you can't pick and choose what you think is ok when they are very similar in nature. He scouted my offense and put in a defense to stuff my bread and butter (middle run). I countered that gameplan thinking he would do that by running outside counter and passing more. What is the issue? Should i have just kept my plays the same and run into his blitzes? I guess i should of pitched the ball outside and taken a loss or minimal gain every play? This strategy doesn't work every game because coaches can counter it. I pm'd pappy about all this and we're cool so lets just let it die and move on

A lot of good coaches wouldent of set rules like he did and if they do time will tell before it becomes that coaches problem. Punisher, with 75 teams I would guess it's almost impossible thinking of the effort and time rules takes day to day. Also the chance that rules can be a reason you lose a game. My main argument was that this wasn't cheap and isn't a glitch it is the result of one owner outsmarting and beating the other . Simple as that!!!!

Best rb I've ever seen was WR converted . D. Surgette Bal. lg 31
I would of converted one and traded one and kept three. And not play arena ball.

I wish there was a mute option.

Just a general comment.

i guess i need to defend myself since everyone is interested in our game, lol. First off i like to think of my team as a pretty balanced attack with a good defense. Gameplanning for his particular game as tricky cause my opponent passes 100% of the time. I knew he'd stack the box for my middle runs so i decided to limit how many runs were in my playbook. The biggest thing that i noticed was since he passed so much he didn't use a lot of time off the clock. So as the game got deeper i was playing with a big lead and i have a rule that runs the ball predominantly in the circumstance. I was able to do most of my damage through the air and never really dominated on the ground despite running only two running plays. Ive been on the other side of this type of game so i understand his frustration but there is surely ways to counteract this attack. I have a lot of respect for Coach Pappy so i feel bad that he's leaving but i under no circumstance was trying to glitch the game or do anything illegal. Teams can take the running game out all the time by calling the same blitzes over and over and i don't see any difference. I passed the ball 34 times for 350 yards and 5 tds and i'm defending the plays i called in the running game?

I reviewed the plays that Bryson ran during this game, and it's a playbook that is very similar to the ones that I like to run in most leagues. I run it for the same reason that Bryson runs it, I'm sure. I run it because it works. I don't see how this is glitching at all. But I also know how to shut this offense down having to play Bryson twice a year in MFN-19.

The playoff game where we had to create game plans to stop each other running it was still pretty epic. I think you held me to <2 yards per carry, and I think I picked up 14 sacks or something silly like that.

That's what i love about game planning, trying to stop something that others have struggled with. I remember you destroying me on the counter when Hurtado was injured and beating me by like 30, lol. While this game doesn't always reflect real nfl, it does allow a chess match between coaches that makes it very entertaining. I think that there's a way to stop any offense out there if you work at it long enough.
