Tiebreaker? AFL

Sim is suggesting that the 5 and 6 seeds are going to New Orleans Voodoo and ourselves (California Red Woods).

https://afl.myfootballnow.com/

I'm not sure why Las Vegas Locos are considered eliminated as they are a game behind us and we haven't played each other. IF we lose and they win, we'll have the same Conference record.

Does anyone have a list of tiebreak scenarios eg

1. Win/Loss/Tie record
2. Head to head
3. Conference record
4. ?
5. ?
6. ?
etc

It is important as it will effect how I set up my team for a tough week 16 match.

Also, the standings page shows an x- by ourselves (ie: qualified) an e- for the Locos (ie: eliminated) but no designation for the Voodoo (who have beaten ourselves but lost to the Locos). So with a win, New Orleans finish #5, if they lose and we win/tie and Las Vegas win then I think they finish #7, Locos #6 and us #5
If New Orleans and ourselves lose and the Locos win - who knows?

We take #5 if we get a better result than New Orleans ie we win and they either lose or tie. Or we tie and they lose.

The Locos can catch us, but only if they win and we lose and New Orleans win - Leaving Voodoo #5 and either us or Las Vegas at #6. ie both finish 11-5, no head to head, conference record is 8-4 for both teams....

And does MFN use the same tiebreak procedures, in the same order? Looking at other threads on here, it's different.

For example if the Locos win and the Voodoo lose and Red Woods win or tie in wk16 then the Locos would be ahead of the Voodoo on head to head but the sim has placed the e- next to the Locos already

And can anyone confirm that the Locos have been eliminated? If not - what are the possible scenarios for week 16?

In theory, MFN follows NFL tiebreaker procedures. In reality, MFN sometimes makes mistakes in following those procedures.

Yes, but is this particular scenario being looked into it? The algorithm is wrong because it is showing

A/ Locos eliminated - they aren't - they own Voodoo in a head to head if the two finish tied with the same record they would eliminate Voodoo

B/ Red Woods qualified - they haven't, or have they, if so, how do all 27 possible scenarios (W/L/T x3) end with CRW in the playoffs?

C/ Voodoo no status, but league playoff picture only shows 6 teams - if that is correct (I don't think it is) why aren't they being shown as qualified?

You can't count on the display to reflect what is actually the status of the tiebreakers. You need to do the math yourself, as you have done, to get a more accurate picture.

The good news is, the clinch logic has been out of sync long enough that it has made it onto the developer's short list of projects:

Sadly, disappointingly, I'm still waiting on a definitive answer from JDB.
