Restore to Full Health Option, Tab on Player Card

- Leagues with 75%-100% injury rate
- Usage available up until the trade deadline sim
- 1 time, 1 player per season.

Sorry, but if it wasn't the XFL I would have abandoned the team for the long term injury loss of a critical player @ Preseason Game #1.

I want the option to not have my work disrespected and to be able to 1-time fix an injury and preserve my effort level put in.

Interesting idea, I just have a couple questions first. Also want to clarify in advance that nothing in this post is a personal attack or act of disrespect since that is apparently how things work on these forums now.

I have heard previous suggestions about an IR or PUP list to keep players beyond the roster limit for an extended period of time but ultimately able to return such as the real nfl uses. Would this help alleviate this situation? Serious injury to stud players **** no matter who or when it happens, but isn’t the point of this game to be more realistic as a sim and not more of an arcade game with a “reset” button? If anything there aren’t enough significant injuries in most leagues if you are looking for realism. Qb’s are almost indestructible, and it seems like most common nagging injuries always seem to be linemen, while skill positions get hit somewhere in between. Do teams that lack depth, like say only 6 or 7 offensive linemen inherently avoid injuries in the algorithm because the sim doesn’t allow the roster fall below a certain minimum healthy roster? I guess my point is, should we be aiming for making this game closer to reality with the inherent challenge and risk thereof, or more fun and accessible because quality talent is rare and losing it sucks?

Quick point and I'll read the rest.

Who cares about realism?

If Saquon Barkley gets mangled in real life, I didn't put effort level in to craft which runs I want for him and the over-ride set-up to maximize his totes with the rock.

But here in MFN, especially leading into a season, I meticulously articulated a plan in place with deep thought and effort put in.

It doesn't equate. You need injuries but an option to protect work effort would be nice. Limited option, 1 time per season thing otherwise it's a joke and you don't have any injuries or roster management factoring in. I'm a fair person.

The fact that this is a /sim/ implies striving to replicate reality, most complaints and suggestions seem to be related to specifically the fact that basic league setting here do not reflect the state of the real nfl. And there is no need to imply that your effort to build a roster and gameplan is somehow worth more or superior to everyone else, who mostly don’t even think that way when playing a game. We all need to plan with depth and try to be flexible when things go wrong. Your competitiveness is legendary, but if your “plan” is that frail, it wasn’t a good plan. **** happens, i wish there was a reset button when a major mechanical component at the steel mill I work in breaks down, but that is when it’s time to get dirty and work.

But I could be the one completely out of touch, I would certainly use that option if it was available, I’d just rather have an IR with a return option halfway through a season.

Ok, my plan is frail.

See you on the freeway.

I’m sure you will, if we played the same leagues. Of course you find something to take offense to. All respect where it is due, you are the best **** beta tester I have ever seen. Your entire MO is to find the cracks in the code and bend the exploits to your will. But as your previous response proves, it’s not about football, the more unrealistic you can make it the better. And that is so valuable for making this a better product, in the same way a hacker improves software security. I admitted the “reset” button would be enjoyable and alleviate a lot of the bad feelings when a big injury hits, but is it the right answer?

In favour of the idea with one small addition - make it part of the admin toolset.

X times per season owners may reduce an injury by X levels of severity.

This way you can have leagues that adhere to "you broke it, you bought it" and others that have wiggle room.
