The missing piece to the jigsaw:

Having now played this game for 2/3 seasons and really starting to 'get it', I love everything about it.
The one thing missing however, which I do enjoy on the 'soccer' game I play, is the 'banter' between managers as the seasons progress. Some of us even do season previews of the teams and predictions. There's now great rivalries btw managers (who don't know each other IRL) which adds to the fun and excitement and thrill of winning of losing in the dying moments!
When I click on League Discussion/ Community Discussion on the tabs it brings me to the same place (bug?!?). The Help and Suggestion forums are busy (ish), but however many times I've tried to instigate something in the league forum, there's only WarEagle and Morbid who seem to reply. I can only assume this is down to the fact some managers have 5, 10, 15 clubs to manage which must make it hard to build up any banter as you'd forget which is which?? Or simply not have the time (I struggle with 2 clubs!).
Clearly, limiting managers to 1 or 2 clubs wouldn't go down well as it's popular here, but I just think it's a shame that more focus can't be placed on individual rounds of matches and leagues. Too many managers spreading their time too thinly???

BTW this weekend was my 1st weekend of college football - what a hoot! I loved it!

Keep up the good work jdb :)

Ah, one other thing.
When entering the forums, it would be great to see the last 2/3 posts (subject titles), postee, time, replies under each of the categories - in my other games that's what they do so it encourages you to go on. In fact, the last 5 posts are on the home screen, which encourages you to use them as you instantly see a post that needs reading or a reply.
Just a thought as I imagine that's an easy-tweak?

If this was your first weekend of college football, you picked a good one!

It would have been even better if Auburn had caught the hail mary at the end of the Clemson game, and if the Alabama/USC score was reversed!

I MUCH prefer college football to the NFL. If there were ever a college version of MFN my wife might divorce me.

Yeah I heard that this w/end saw most seeded teams lose
Certainly looked like some big names meeting.
Think I'm gonna get very very hooked to the college football 'thang'!
Just gotta get my head around the 'odd' divisions they play in and how the play-offs or conference finals etc happen! Heard someone saying that one team (Houston?) might win all their games but not get 'selected' (!?) for the play-offs???!!! Something about their fixtures are too easy to warrant making it through?!

I'm picking up the many names of the big teams and the seeding thing helps me!

Anyway, back to the point...

kinda of harsh there I really doubt she would divorce you if there were a college version of MFN.

she didn't divorce you awhile you are playing this NFL version of football so why would she do something different if there was a college version??

anyway well maybe Auburn was getting all the bad games out their system with that Clemson game and win all their rest of games .

Though do have to agree that Alabama/usc score should reversed at least that way people wouldn't be talking already about firing Alabama's coach like they talking about firing USC coach or at least that is what I am getting when I read about that game.

you would think there would be growing pains with USC and their new head coach and maybe in that their team is few years from contending.

it is not like you could pick any coach from NFL or College or any place that has football present , past or even future that could somehow pull a upset with that team.

The thread for mfn1 this season was pretty active. It really depends on the league. I consider my self fairly active with banter , but it is only in a few leagues. With banter most likely brings better owners so be prepared. JK! To me this does complete the puzzle.

Try 10, 19, good luck with 1 and i know there are a few others. I think some guys in 22 said similar things, but that forums is ussally quiet. Really those are the leagues i am in. Ha!

Some guys post alot and other never. Most likely 3/4 s never posted ever. Nearing completion the 2028 Season had 207 posts and 1509 views. That has to be one of the most active in there own league forum, but like i said there must be others.
