As it stands now people if they don't want to be in a league they just have to abandon the team by pushing that button but I was thinking why not have a feature where you could trade teams with either another user or with the CPU?

for example in Custom 35 there are 10 cpu owned and 22 human controlled teams = https://cust35.myfootballnow.com/

Lets say I wanted to leave the league yet I want to still play in this league

my team is Austin
lets say that Cooterbrown would want to trade his team (San Diego) to me and I trade mine to him that way it would work out for both us.
But lets pretend for a second I rather have a different team that is CPU owned which would be Indianapolis then really it would work for both CPU because the CPU would instead control Austin than Indianapolis and I would control Indianapolis than Austin.

I realize that there are a lot of IFS , Butts , ANDS and ORS in this scenario and that someone could possibly abuse it but I thought I would at least make a tempt to suggest it because you never know what will happen or if it does happen.

also btw you could say this is somewhat outside of the box thinking.

thanks

Seems like it could be ripe to be exploited.

Well, for one, you say it works for the CPU.

But it doesn't. Nothing 'works' for the CPU, the CPU doesn't care. At all. About Indy nor Austin.

Also, if you are trying to leave your team... there is a reason. So what is that reason? Some for Cooter. I doubt he's wanting to leave a Play Off Team that he built from scratch. You both probably rocking some bad teams here with issues. Which may, or may not, be indicative of Owner Skill.

So I really don't see the point in Intra-League Team Trades.

What I DO see the point in, is Trading Teams with people from other Leagues. Because THOSE are Situations where it may not just be teams ran in the ground, but where some one generally has a reason (like Simulation Time, for instance, or getting into a Custom League or out of one) outside of Team W/L to Trade.

So Joe could have a Fringe Play Off Custom Team, and John wants to be in a Custom League to try it. Joe has decided Custom isn't for him, the cosmetics just don't make it any more fun for him, but John is dying to have the John's Johns from Johnson City, Tennessee be a thing. John loves him some John, after all. He's got a Play Off Team himself.

He's willing to let that go for Joe's Fringe Play Off Team for the Custom aspect, it's worth it to him.

That would be a good Trade of Teams.

Of course, there could still be things here... like Joe traded his Star QB for a 7th Round Pick and let his Star WR hit FA and let the Computer do the current Draft... so we still have pause for concern even in this scenario.

I see no value in trading teams In League, though I'm willing to hear things out.
I see value in trading teams (League Swap) out of League, but am aware it can still be abused.
