True enough. I am just wondering how quickly the results degrade as you decrease the ratings. We all know who the fastest/strongest are at their respective positions. But who are the slowest/weakest at their respective positions who still make the grade? For example, what does a 0/0 (speed/acceleration) translate to in a 40 yd dash for the average weighted CB/WR? It's still faster than anything I could do, but how much faster? Is it a 6 second 40 yd dash? Just curious.

I've also wondered, you see a player with say 70 speed and ZERO in acceleration, does that mean they don't move?

Say a guy 6' 200 lbs has 75 speed, 75 acceleration, and 75 ball carry theoretically you could time his 40 yard dash on a break away during a game. Pending a bunch complicated of equations combined with trial and error a sort of combine result would be possible for me.

Limited it may be I would love that for the draft. Still, a real nfl player is rarely running untouched for forty yards. For me it is personal. As I would use combine numbers to add some relation to real life, but they do not change actual gameplay.

In real life, for me, combine numbers are some sort of bar of measurement, but by no means of a tell tale sign of NFL talent. It is finding that fine line of physical talent vs. technique.

Each player's weight will trend toward the average weight for his position as he tries to condition himself to be that weight.

I probably should display the player's 40 time on his card - it would be a simple formula to calculate based on his weight, acceleration, and max speed. You are correct, though, essentially it's just using physics ... the acceleration is the "force" to increase a player's speed, which is applied against his weight, so the heavier a player is the less he would accelerate with the same acceleration attribute. The max speed is just the cap to when he stops accelerating.

Wow! A 40 time on the card...The results would be very interesting. Why not how many times they bench 225lbs? I see that one being similar. Also, 20 yard shuttle? Maybe I am pushing it.... Any way, thank you for answering my original question and entertaining the rest.

A player's fatigue level is dynamic throughout the play, and increases based on his conditioning and weight. His top speed constantly is re-calculated based on his fatigue - so a player with lower conditioning and more weight will slow down earlier than a small player in top conditioning.
