Times used for plays

Play cards say this: "Times used includes previous and current regular season and post season games for your team only". Does this mean preseason statistics are not included?

If it does, can preseason statistics be included? Otherwise it's hard to evaluate the performance of a playbook newly installed for a season.

I think pre-season stats are meaningless.

You could have a play that looks like it's pretty successful, but in reality it only works in the second half when you're playing against the other team's scrubs, etc.

That, and nobody gameplans for the pre-season. I know I don't.

At most have it as an option to include pre-season or not.

Yeah, the only gameplanning I do in preseason is scouting plays because that goes towards the familiarity.

Valid points. I think the option to include pre-season stats or not is the best suggestion. Even if the statistics have to be taken with a grain of salt, including the stats would offer easier-to-access immediate feedback than having to sit through a game or wait until the regular season.
