Players in italics

Why are some of my players in italics?
Some are on trading block but not all.
Some are rookies but not all.
Some are injured but not all.
So I can't see what they all have in common??

italics represent players that are not active in the depth chart

Thought it might be but when I clicked on the filter stating "not in current depth chart " only one player appeared.
I'll try again - thanks

Tried again and only one player appears when I click 'not in depth chart'.
Also how come two of my injured players appear in the depth chart when auto set? One has a probably hand injury - is that not serious? Should I deactivate him, remove hI'm or leave him in place?

I tend to leave players active if they are probable or questionable but if I bench them if they are doubtful. Sometimes if the injury is a knee or head i'll sit them so I won't risk a bigger injury. It's all in how your depth looks and how much of a chance you want to take. I kind of like that it's not all black and white because it's more like real life injury problems. As you play the game long I think you will develop your own style and ways on how to deal with them. good luck :)

If you look on your depth chart page, you will see that you can only have 46 active players. The ones in italics may be the players that you have set as inactive.

Don't quote me on that though.

I usually sit my questionable players as well. I only really like playing guys that are probably or better unless I'm really thin at the position.

This is correct. Your players can be in your depth chart and still be inactive. You can go to your depth chart page to activate or deactivate them, and monitor the graph at the top to make sure you have the correct number of players active.

Thanks guys!
Much appreciated as ever.
Assume there's a chart somewhere showing the level of injuries:
Probable etc.
Yes the idea of being able to choose an injured player maybe if you really need them for a big game is excellent - most manager games it's black and white. But real life isn't always

Yes I've got it now. Some of them are on the depth chart bit not active mainly due to injury. Then one guy is not injured but not on depth chart as he's so poorly rated currently.
Something I finally get!!
