I'm leaving MFN-65. Giving up Tennessee. It's taking too much investment, I want to focus more on my younger teams that I've been with from the start, and I'm a Texans fan. I can't play with the Titans anymore since they will be the Texans' main rival in the real NFL for the foreseeable future. Whoever was the owner before me did a quality job of building the roster of Tennessee. There was a really good offensive line with great depth in place ahead of me, and a quality defensive unit. I took over for the last two games of the 2018 season and completed the roster construction. I added a Rookie of the Year QB on the roster, along with a top-notch receiver (James Sanders) and a young, pro-bowl caliber running back. I also added a viable deep-threat receiver in Frederick Carver. I missed the 2020 draft due to vacation and I don't think anyone from that draft class is still with the team. This year, I added safety depth (both backups are upgrades to the prior 2nd stringers), as well as Tackle depth, WR depth, and a stud TE.
Whoever takes over this team should line Edwin Rodriguez up at WR and TE. He's a mismatch there, and has shown great promise if he's line up as the #2 receiver, with Sanders at #1 and Carver at the slot. Nunez can also play slot, but he's slow. Pablo Curry is a pretty great, improving TE. He should fill in for Tarry when he's done. Tarry is a great weapon on 3rd downs, he's helped the team a lot there. He can also line up out wide on specific downs, makes him pretty dangerous. Nunez is also supposed to be the #2 FB. He can turn in valuable work there. Boyett can play emergency RB, but he's not the most productive there. He did manage to win my team a game at that spot last year when the injury plague struck my team. Trevor Flowers is fifty million times more valuable than you think. Once upon a time, he was Tennessee's #1 WR, and has made clutch plays the entire time he's been on the roster.
Injuries ended up costing me the division last year, with Rosenzweig and Brekke both hurt, and no reliable depth behind them. My offensive line and defensive line were also demolished, while I lost Dino Schroeder at MLB, Adam Martin at CB#1, and John Christian at CB#2. I still managed to make the playoffs and win in wild card before losing to my rival, Houston, in the divisional round. He went on to play in the league championship. The year before (my first full season in the league) I lost to San Diego in the conference championship.
This defense is truly impressive. I love its reliability, and depth. It has won many games for my team when Hodgins was in a sophomore slump last year and 15 of my players were down with injuries last year.
Charles Calvo also lines up at RB. He has potential there, but he's not a work horse if Rosenzweig gets hurt.
Matthew Brekke is a great pure runner, and a dismal receiver. He should remain the #2 RB.
Howard Cangleosi can also line up at RB, while also filling in as the #3 FB.
Meek is a reliable #3 receiver. He's the #6 on this team, and that's without Edwin Rodriguez playing WR.
The offensive line's ratings go as follows: 80/80 LT, 75/75 LT, 42/75 LT, 99/99 LG, 87/88 LG, 76/76 LG, 91/91 C, 88/88 C, 71/73 C, 98/98 RG, 80/83 RG, 80/80 RT. It's one of the best lines I've ever worked with, even though the tackles could certainly stand to improve. The interior of this line is probably the best in league history.
The starters on defense are as follows: 91/94 LDE, 88/88 DT, 87/87 4-3 DT, 91/92 RDE, 98/98 SLB, 91/91 MLB, 64/64 3-4 ILB (I usually go 4-3, as you can probably tell), 87/87 WLB, 92/95 CB1, 80/81 CB2, 74/75 CB3, 92/95 SS, 78/84 FS.
The starters on offense are as follows: 85/90 QB, 96/98 RB, 88/89 FB (my ratings, not default), 82/82 TE (or 75/85 TE, or 42/87 TE), 94/95 WR1, 79/81 WR2, 78/78 WR3, 80/80 LT, 99/99 LG, 91/91 C, 98/98 RG, 80/80 RT.
