Voiding Contracts

MFN-13
If I VOID a new contract after drafting a player, can I then resign him to a longer contract?

I've not done it before, just don't want to be surprised that I can't sign him again.

Is this a thread hijack?

Still looking for an answer.

Voiding a contract effectively releases a player without accruing any of their guaranteed money as dead cap. So yes, you could then sign them to a longer contract, however you'd be doing so at the risk of someone else signing them (hence Sardeen's comment).

Ok, I think it to be best to just wait and re-nego after his 1st season.

Nah, you should definitely void it now, i promise i wont pick up a player you void, that would be unsportsmanlike. I would never do that...
