OT logic

Have a setting where a team will attempt a FG in OT
We had 1st and goal at our opponents 4 and threw an int? I thought we'd kick an FG when we got to their 20 at least. Then as we kept moving closer to the end zone, still no FG...finally the int???
Fortunately, we kicked the winning FG as time expired but the glitch very nearly cost us the game :(

Thanks for the report - I'll check it out. You are correct, you shouldn't throw the ball in OT once you're in your assigned FG range.

We need to set it within reason though. Have it be an option to set for OT as far as down and distance. I don't want to launch a 56 yd FG on 1st down for instance

Another factor that muddies the decision is the new OT rules where the game can't end on a field goal on the first possession. So it almost needs to be a separate decision for first possession vs. non-first possession.
