What is the role of the HC and coordinators

If I have a Balanced Off HC and WestCoast OC, what kind of offense will I have in a roster-only league?

I think this message from JDB in another thread answers the question

Your HC coaching style just gives you additional plays for his style that the other coaches don't have. The game planning is the same as if you hit "recommend" for everything - the AI takes your roster vs their roster into account as well as your own play success to choose which plays to use, but there is minimal difference to the underlying gameplanning code. This will hopefully change in the future, but it is a lower priority to a few other things; so yeah, at this point I don't know that you should spend a ton of time worrying about your HC coaching style in a roster-only league.

Once upon a time someone had collected some preliminary data regarding the yardage being produced by each offensive style in the roster-only leagues (can't recall if there was a similar study done on yards allowed by defensive type or not...). Obviously there were some sample size issues and you can't control for the relative strength of teams utilizing each style, but it was at least interesting reading.

OP seemed straight forward: What kind of O would be run, Balanced or West Coast?

You'll run the offense style of the head coach.

So HC is style and OC is play caller?

The problem with the RO leagues is you can have a Pass Only HC and still run more often than pass.

Despite, the playbook is always HC.

Only roles I know of is this: HC= determines what plays you will call on offense and defense as far as playbook schemes. I do not know what value the OC and DC has. And the rest of the positional coaches determine how fast the players in the respective positions progress. For example, a QB coach with a high accuracy rating will allow the QB to progress faster in that department, etc.

OC and DC have similar (supposedly greater) affect as the positional coaches except that they affect all offensive or defensive positions. As stated, only HC has anything to do with playbook in addition to player progression.
