Stupid "intelligent" QBs

For instance this example:
https://mfn48.myfootballnow.com/watch/5219#923726
3-10-SEA 38 (2:57) 1-Santiago Genovese sacked at SEA 43 for -5 yards (68-Steven Smith). Sack allowed by 49-John Schneider.
Offensive Play: Singleback Normal PA Rollout
Defensive Play: Nickel Normal Man Cover 2 - Pass Key

He start an IMPOSSIBLE to reach a new First Down run himself, instead of passing (No cover in centre...)

2. Earlier in same game he did similar.
3. And at other time earlier in same game he started running and then stoped running BEFORE scrimmage so opponents catch up and could sack him with no yardage gain.

At 82 Intelligence one shouldn't have to worry about poor decisions on the field or play knowledge rate.

As a general rule I always look to INTELLIGENCE to make sure it's high before adding any QB. (80+ ish, 75+ area)

I dunno, he didn't look like he was running at all, just sliding up to avoid back pressure.

The route in the middle had not finished yet, he might have been about to throw it, hard to tell.

Better line would help...

There's so many factors than to single out a particular play. It'll drive you crazy!

Between line play, opposing defensive scheme and maybe upper echelon defensive talent.

Basically my approach is that Intelligence is said to be needed to determine throwing to the proper route, for play learning acceleration....I just hope that by possessing the high end intelligence QBs I avoid the bad and overall it helps us win games. Better than having the poor intelligence guys (sub-50) and watching each play unfold with detrimental results.

Also, I just looked and it's the PA Roll-Out play. I wouldn't look too deeply on that one as it has gone from deadly to being muted to making a resurgence.

It's been all over the map in terms of adjustments; not via QB Intelligence.

I have seen many times under this code where the QB will be in a shotgun play and sometimes right after the ball is snapped, like a second later he slowly walks forward for a sack..lol Those plays are the most frustrating ones. And it happens with all of them in certain plays.

Or for the majority of long passing plays the QB outstretches his arms, sacrificial and says audibly 'take me...!'

Then the defenders *** rush the show. lol
