Does anyone know the difference between these two styles of play?

Possession offense would probably be where the offense keeps trying to move the ball either by run or pass on downs to miniize how many 4th downs they are in or how many yards you have to get to a first down on 4th down.

Run Forced offense i would think is going to RUN and RUN and RUN then punt the ball on 4th down.

If that's the case what's the difference between a possession offense and a balanced offense then?

Is a possession offense maybe a little more conservative? But it just effects what's in the coaches playbook, right?

well a balanced offense would be where the plays run from pass or run are going to be equal
like for example
1000 passes
1000 Runs

possession offense would be probably where runs would be more than passes or passes would be more than runs to in essence whatever is going to move the ball would be more used than the other

like
1000 passes
100 runs

or

1000 runs
100 passes

well the one that effects your playbook is your head coach whatever your head coach runs on offense and/or defense will be ran for your team
like if he is a run-shoot offense guy your team is going to run a run and shoot offense
if he runs a 4--2-5 defense then you will have 4 DL , 2 LB and 5 secondary guys trying to stop the other team.

basically here is your head coach

Victor Ferrell = https://cust28.myfootballnow.com/coach/192

he runs a pass focused offense ( i would think he is going to always call pass regardless what down it is and how many yards you need)

run focused defense is what he runs ( basically he is going to be geared to take away the run from the other team and taking whatever punishment he gets for allowing the other team pass on his team)

Fair warning: didn't read through the entire post.

Run focused offense has more runs out of the 113 set than the possession offense. It also has some of the more interesting short passes out of the 212 and 221 sets. In many ways, the run focused offense is more versatile if you're going to be switching game plans every game based on your opponent because you have more opportunities in the big sets.

For what it's worth, these are my two favorite playbooks...

I set my game plans for my games. So the coach will call plays based on what I set up. This isn't my first rodeo. I've ran a run n shoot style offense for several seasons with tons of success. Just looking to see if I could do the same with with the rum game and didn't know which style would be best.

Taking over new team looks like time for a new head coach!

Thanks for all your input guys.
