Well, we went for the win (2 point conversion, down 19-20 with seconds remaining) and our 9 lives ended and our luck ran out.

Congrat's to Seattle.

Good luck to you as as you continue on in the playoffs.

well you should have won that game because that 2 point conversion the QB throws the ball away from any players on either team.

I guess all the times I (thought I) practiced the 2 point conversion in training camp didn't really help much. I think I only ever saw them try and run the ball in? *shrug*

It's alright. If winning or losing comes down to one play (as this play might indicate) you can go back to other parts of the game and see a missed tackle here or a busted play there.

The 71 yard TD pass from Seattle's 29 yard line with 2:29 left in the game was the nail in the coffin. Prior to that, Four FG's of 43, 54, 54, & 58 yards had me hanging close.

We had a great season, and the new update is going to effect Bugg and his amazing ability to return punts for TD's. Need to come up with a new wrinkle or twist. :)

I really, really, really hate to see the QB throw the ball away on 4th down or a 2 PT conversion. If nobody is open they should just throw it up for grabs instead of just giving up.

actually I think you have to check every box or close to it in the MISC options for 2-Point Conversion When Behind for the team to do it well.

Unless you can make a RULE to make your team go for 2 point conversion by running the ball in instead of throwing it .

well I always look at it as this way that the QB or whatever player is it in the game makes a play like that is basically throwing the game for their team because they had MONEY on the other team to win or win the super bowl.

Though all kidding aside what needs to happen is somehow in the rules or misc options we can decide to RUN the ball or pass the ball for the 2 point conversion depending on the circumstance.

Even though I say that I would imagine if you could have something like that most likely the ball carrier if you picked the RUN the ball would do something just as bad as the QB who throws the ball away.

You can make rules for 2 PT conversions. Just select Extra Point as the down.

Re: checking the boxes to go for two points? In the pre season, I have EVERY box checked on BOTH charts (both ahead and behind) but it really wasn't until recently, that I saw it says "in the 4th quarter", hence, my team didn't do it each and every time, but I wasn't too surprised, I figured I messed something up. I agree, I think we ought to be able to choose the play( I just looked at the rules, and didn't realize there IS an "extra point" choice. Doh!

But as to only getting to go for two in the 4th Q!tr? Maybe JDB can explain why THAT would be the case?

In preseason, when my punter was hurt, I first used my place kicker, and when I wasn't satisfied with that, I just wrote a rule and went for it Every time on my side of the 50 yard line. We should be able to do the same with two points also, shouldn't we?

And Thank you to whoever it was that suggested a rule. I had the overtime box selected for some choices but I didn't look close enough to find the "extra point" choice.

I'm a life long Cleveland Browns fan. I attended their last championship game as a boy, in 1964. I live by the mantra, "there's ALWAYS next year. Oh, and I almost forgot, also Browns fans believe their equivalent time to the Super Bowl each year is the Draft!! Always hope.......

Good luck to the remaining teams!!

If you create a rule to go for two you can also specify the quarter, time remaining, score, etc.

Correct. The default gameplan 2-point conversion options are only for the 4th quarter because in general, that's the earliest teams will think about going for 2, and unless you are an advanced gameplanner I believe that is what you would expect. But statistically speaking teams would be better off going for 2 all the time - and if you wish to do that, you can through rules.
