Volatility and Allocation Drafts

In existing leagues, it seems to me that Volatility is only an issue for young players. Which is to say, a rookie with a high volatility could boom or bust, a 2nd year guy with a high volatility will likely continue in the direction he took as a rookie, but by year 4 or 5 the volatility is basically a non factor. Yes?

However, I'm wondering if things are different in an allocation draft. Specifically, I'm wondering if an older player is drafted with a high volatility does he boom or bust like a younger player would due to a "well he's new to the league so we don't really know how accurate the attribute numbers are yet" reasoning. Or do they just act like any other experienced player and volatility is not a factor?

Thanks.

well I would imagine the Volatility works the same in the Allocation drafts as the regular drafts.

So if you pick a player who is like 100 in Volatility either in the allocation draft or the regular draft there is a chance he could boom or bust.

The volatility is most prominent when there is blue on the ratings card - but there is still a small movement for veteran players. That said, it's probably insignificant enough to not be overly concerned about it.
