My Offensive Line.

Okay, I was asking about the 2023 Draft and got really long with it. Will focus OL and try to keep this short(er).

I'll start with my Franchise C... the problem is he could retire any day now.

C Carol Ransom (12 Seasons, 33 Years Old)
SPD 28 ACC 97 INT 91 DISC 94
STR 93 RB 93 PB 96

This is what you'd love to have at every OL spot. He can burst to the DL, knock them silly, stay engaged, learn plays and not commit penalties.

LT Richard Gentry (1 Season, 22 Years Old)
SPD 20 ACC 84 INT 100 DISC 72
STR 78 RB 96 PB 66

Now I'm a Run-Only to Run + Play Action kind of team, so his 66 Pass Block isn't as bad as it would be on most Teams. Also his STR is a tad low for my liking, but not bad. Good ACC and can Learn Plays, solid on DISC.

LG Kerry Houston (7 Seasons, 28 Years Old)
SPD 82 ACC 60 INT 62 DISC 52
STR 92 RB 74 PB 73

Equally good in Run or Pass, but not very good at them. 92 STR is sweet. Fast, but not great ACC. Not happy with INT or DISC.

RG Travis Terrell (3 Seasons, 24 Years Old)
SPD 69 ACC 49 INT 100 DISC 100
STR 100 RB 84 PB 5

That's not a typo. 5 Pass Blocking. Kid is a Converted RB that only weighs 220. I was moving to a Run Only Offense, and may still do that, but have added Play Action and a select few Passes that have shown to work. Hard to beat that STR, and his RB is high enough once he gets some Weight. Still, he'd be better at FB.

RT Stephen McCarthy (7 Seasons, 28 Years Old)
SPD 53 ACC 49 INT 0 DISC 23
STR 100 RB 100 PB 15

A Converted WR who is under 200 lbs. Needs moved back to WR as soon as I can replace him, but that 100/100 is sweet.

So the question is this. I don't have a 2nd, only a 1st... but a 3rd, Two 4ths, 5th, 6th and 7th.

So do I take another 'Carol Ransom' in the first, moving either RG/RT... or do I focus Defense with the 1st Round Pick for Impact and then give the rest of the Picks to STR/Run Block guys (since the Balanced types will be largely gone or sacrifice to much Run Block) with the rest of the Picks?

There is no doubt you are going to need a great defense. Without passing a comback might be difficult. The key is to score first. Based on your hurry up and slow down and GP adjustment . Then hope your D holds. The game calls a varied of plays when ahead and behind. Depending on your setttings of course. You are playing a chess match of time. Generally if you can keep a high powered offense off the field you will increase your chances of winning. And I am talking about the tough games. Not ones where you run for 200 or 300 yards at 7 a clip.
