Fumble bug

1st quarter in the ARZ/STL game and ARZ was facing a 3rd and 17. Pass protection by STL was good and pass rush forced the QB out of the pocket. QB decides to scramble and takes off. He picks up 10-12 yards and a fumble is forced. ARZ recovers what should be a 4th and 5 or so but is given a 1st down. Was able to get a FG on this early drive and the 3 points was not a difference luckily but should definitely be looked at.

Thanks for the report! What actually happened is that the fumble was recovered by Arizona who then fumbled it immediately and it was recovered by St. Louis - which technically was a change of possession, so the game engine ruled it "right." What the problem really is is that the middle possession wasn't long enough to actually be a possession, because while the Arizona player had possession he certainly didn't have it long enough that it should have been ruled as such. I've seen this happen one other time, and it is in the "to fix" list.

Good stuff. Didn't recall seeing the defensive recovery in the description which is why I brought it here. :)
